Experience how performance, installation and public intervention can be used as “catalysts” for transformation of urban spaces into works of art. Equipped with a laptop, microphones and loudspeakers, Danish artist Jan Hatt-Olsen and South Africa-based artist Ásta Olga Magnúsdóttir will take you on a walk in Copenhagen with the aim of changing the urban space into a colourful and aural ‘artscape’. The workshop will explore how the city, by means of artistic intervention, can be turned into a collection of poetry, a work of music or a stage…
It is free to participate in the workshop which is open to a maximum of 15 people. At daytime the workshop will explore and work with the different urban spaces along the way through the city from the Harbour area to the north-western part of Copenhagen. A site specific installation/intervention, Urban Alchemist, will light up the Copenhagen night from July 31st to August 3rd.
